BLUE WATER ENGINEERING

When Mark Piacun formed BWE in 1982, little did he know he, with help from Industry Capability Network Queensland (ICN) and its QMI colleagues, would blaze a trail in new manufacturing technology, expanding the company from its Gold Coast base, in Queensland, into Sydney, New South Wales, and establish a new business.

ECOSCIENCES

Work has commenced on the redevelopment of the old Boggo Road Gaol site into a new, vibrant inner city Ecosciences Precinct, which will be Australia's first centre dedicated to solving some of the country's biggest environmental issues. The $280 million development will house around 1,000 staff and consist of offices and staff support areas, a cafe, an education centre, workshops, laboratories, insect houses, glasshouses and greenhouses.

BROWNS PLAINS HEALTH CENTRE

The new Browns Plains Primary and Community Health Centre is located on the Corner of Wineglass Drive and Middle Road. The centre will service residents in Calamvale and Browns Plains in the North, to Park Ridge and Jimboomba in the South, including the fast growing areas of Boronia Heights and Regents Park.
