The Federal Government’s Nation Building – Economic Stimulus Plan

The Federal Government’s $42 billion Nation Building - Economic Stimulus Plan (NBESP) will deliver schools and housing projects throughout Australia. The Queensland component of this will provide long term infrastructure improvements and opportunities and jobs in the Queensland construction industry.

The Queensland Department of Public Works (DPW) is managing the delivery of these projects on behalf of the Department of Education and Training, and the Department of Communities (Housing).

Consultants and Prime Contractors can lodge Requests for Offer on the DPW Nation Building website which also provides on Prequalification, QBuild registration, Design Guidelines and Tender opportunities. For more information, please see the website at www.nationbuilding.qld.gov.au.

Subcontractors and manufacturers in all construction trades that are able to supply to the schools construction projects are encouraged to register their details with ICN Qld. Companies based in Regional Queensland are particularly encouraged to register. This is a free service and will enable ICN to nominate companies to each project under the NBESP. Please use the Supplier Registration Form on this website.
